Mr. Vern Grams is a Middletown Valley native, born and raised in Burkittsville, Maryland.  Life on the farm gave way to military service and a life, career and family in Carney’s Point, New Jersey. Vern brings his refined photography skills to serve as the manor’s in-house photographer serving at corporate events, social functions, and special occasions. His knowledge of nearby attractions, driving tours, outdoor pursuits and dining opportunities is extensive, and free for the asking. Vern is delighted to be back in the Middletown Valley.

Mrs. Astra Grams was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and spent her youth in Penns Grove, New Jersey.  After raising a family, Astra owned and operated a lady’s and children’s clothing boutique.  She uses her gardening talents to enhance the manor’s gardens and her culinary expertise in creating unforgettable breakfasts for the guests.  A typical breakfast consists of a scrumptious casserole, freshly baked muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, juice, coffee and tea.  Astra also brings her attention to style and detail to the manor’s gracious surroundings.  Hospitality abounds while guest’s privacy and solitude are highly respected.
